The joy of a good travel diary

While it’s hard work keeping your travel diary up to date on the road each day, it can bring wonderful memories to life years later. They become a great repository of tickets, photos, sayings and observations.

I love selling travel diaries because you get to hear about travel plans, the dreams and hopes for what is, for many people, their first trip abroad. It’s even better when people come back in after a trip and share some of their stories with you.

Travel diaries have come a long way from when I first hopped in a plane thirty years ago. Now they range from the simple to the fancy, the serious to the fun. I like the range and that they connect with travelers of all ages and walks of life.

I have made sure that we have travel diaries for the young and young at heart - as much for the stories I get to hear as the sales themselves.
